Writing unit 9

Q5. Write a Journal similar to the one you had in unit 9. You should compare and contrast two types of food. Consider a short introduction, two paragraphs for the body, and a short conclusion. Use the words in the chart and the grammar and vocabulary learned up to now. Be very creative. Consider no less than 120 words.

Before you write, consider these ideas:

Your thesis statement (introduction)

·      should contain a single idea.

·      should be neither too general nor too specific.

·      should unify all the paragraphs.

·      can be improved as you write.

Like – both – unlike – whereas – likewise – similarly – not either – however – in contrast  different  -  as well

1st paragraph: Introduce your topic in the paragraph with your thesis statement. (1 point) 2nd paragraph: Write about a decision you would make again. (2 points) 3rd paragraph: Write about a decision you would make differently. (2 points) 4th paragraph: End with a strong conclusion. (1 point)
